Stewart Hull (1929 - 2017)
Stewart LaVail Hull, age 87, of Bellaire passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer, on Friday, January 6, 2017 at his home. He was born May 18, 1929 in Big Rapids to LaVail and Henrietta (West) Hull. Stu was a longtime member for the National Ski Patrol at Schuss Mountain, with a total of 45 years in the NSP. He was a very active member of the Schuss Mtn. Ski Patrol (SMSP) during his extensive years at Schuss and made some lifetime friends with many of us along the way. Stu served as a First Aid/CPR instructor as well as Patrol Treasurer, before retiring from active patrolling in 2008. With the NSP/SMSP being such an important part of Stu's life, 6 members of the SMSP were asked to act as pallbearers at the funeral.
